Namibia host the 4th International Energy Conference: 20 – 22 April 2022
20 Apr 2022

Today, Namibia is hosting an International Energy Conference (NIEC) at the Droombos Estate outside Windhoek. The conference is organized by #RichAfricaConsultancy, the #MinesAndEnergy Ministry being the patron and the #AfricaEnergyChamber as a strategic partner. This conference will be held from 20 – 22 April 2022.

The much-anticipated conference will be graced by a strong line-up of international, regional, and national energy experts, the conference brings together a ‘’multidimensional and thought-provoking conversation with industry players under the theme ‘The energy mix: Positioning for Industrialisation, Investment, and Growth’’.  The fourth edition of the conference brings Namibia and the continent’s energy ambitions full circle.

#Africa is experiencing significant energy discoveries and this conference is a great opportunity and platform for the continent’s energy sector influencers, professionals, thought leaders, investors, and industry experts, to come together, to discuss and unpack challenges and opportunities in the energy sector.

In summary, the Namibia energy conference sets the right mix for Africa’s power ambitions. Conversations will also be centered around attaining sustainability for the benefit of the broader society. What is most exciting is that the conference will have a Pan-African tone. This is expected at the opening ministerial panel comprising of energy ministers from across the continent, together with Hon Tom Alweendo, the Minister of Mines and Energy of Namibia. In fact, Minister #Alweendo is expected to discuss the continent’s ambitions to harness the energy mix to benefit Africa’s industrialization.

In certainty, a conference is never complete if there are no discussions on investment opportunities in Namibia and greater Africa. Especially, following the recent oil and gas discoveries off the Namibian coast, and also the exciting reality of the green hydrogen project. So discussions will also speak to the current and future investment opportunities in the country, how far they are and what that means for the country.
