Fuel Price Decrease May 2022

Kindly be informed that the Ministry of Mines and Energy has resolved to decrease fuel prices for May 2022, as follows:

  1. Petrol prices will decrease by 120 cents per litre
  2. Diesel prices will decrease with 30 cents per litre

The Government, through the National Energy Fund (NEF) will pay approximately N$51.5 Million for under recoveries recorded. Fuel price adjustments countrywide are expected to come into effect at 00H01 on 5th of May 2022.

Further to that, the Ministry also confirms the temporarily reduction of the levies imposed on fuel on all products, for a period of three (3) months. Therefore, kindly see the revised provisional figures after factoring in the levy reductions as follows:

- NAMCOR Levy @50%
- RUCs @50%
- Fuel Tax @50%

- MVA Levy@25%
