Dear Esteemed Stakeholder,
The Ministry would like to communicate its August 2026 fuel price review decision as follow :
- An over-recovery of 2 .976 cents per liter on ULP95
- An under-recovery of -17.985 cents per liter on Diesel 50ppm
- An under-recovery of -14.132 cents per liter on Diesel 10ppm
Government has resolved to reinstate the 50% levy reductions for all affected institutions in order to boost their coffers and enable the implementation of their critical budget items with effect from August 5, 2026. Therefore, fuel pump prices for both products will increase by 200 cents per liter due to the reinstatement of the 50% levy reduction.
Therefore, fuel pump prices in Walvis Bay will be:
- Petrol 95: N$24.48 per litre
- Diesel 50ppm: N$26.26 per litre
- Diesel 10ppm: N$26.36 per litre
Pump prices across the rest of the country will be adjusted in line with these changes. The effective date is Wednesday, August 05, 2026.
The National Energy Fund (NEF) will absorb the under-recoveries recorded on diesel, as well as the remaining levy portion of 2.95 cents per liter, as the Government has resolved to increase pump prices by only 200 cents per liter.
