Diamond Affairs

The Directorate of the Diamond Affairs is the national establishment aimed at protecting the diamond industry of Namibia from illicit activities and to promote the diversification and integration of the industry into the rest of the economy oin ordrer to maximize its contribution to the socio-economic development of Namibia. Its function is to control and monitor diamond exploitation and mining activites and diamondiferous concentrate movement systems and processes within Namibia, in order to ensure that the country derives maximum benefit from the exploitation of its most precious mineral resouce. To faciliate this, there are, apart from Windhoek Office, branches located in Luderitz, Oranjemund and Swakopmund.
