Minimum Requirements:  An appropriate 4 years B.Sc. (Honours) degree or equivalent in geochemistry or geology and chemistry, plus 3 years appropriate experience in the laboratory environment.

Additional Requirements: The candidate must be computer literate and have theoretical and practical knowledge in geochemical sample collection, preparation and analysis.  The candidate should be able to operate analytical equipment (XRF, XRD, ICP and/or AA) and carry out wet chemistry such as sample digestion, titration and sample preparation for analysis. Previous experience in thematic map production involving GIS and visualisation tools for geochemical data is an added advantage. The post requires periods of fieldwork in remote areas and the applicant must be in possession of a valid driver’s licence, and be willing to travel.
