Minimum requirements: An appropriate 4-year B.Sc. (Honours) degree in Geophysics, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent Earth Science degree plus 3 years appropriate experience in airborne and/ or ground geophysics, geophysical data processing and interpretation.

Additional requirements and duties: A post graduate degree in Geophysics or equivalent Science field will be an advantage. A sound knowledge in the application of geophysical software in quality control, data and image processing of airborne and ground geophysics is expected. Knowledge of Infrasound technology, Seismology, Radiation Physics and their importance to the International Monitoring System of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test-Ban Treaty Organization will also serve as a distinct advantage. The successful candidate will be expected to take initiative, conduct basic research, be willing to travel abroad and to remote areas, work independently and in a team environment and provide knowledge and skill transfer to junior staff and be responsible for regular staff training.
