SECTION MAINTANANCE, STOCK AND SECURITY

Salary Scale              :                       N$ 192 947 – 230 591

Minimum Requirements: A National Diploma or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 6) plus six (6) years appropriate experience.

 

Additional Requirements: Candidate must have knowledge and experience at supervisory level in procurement of goods and services, stock control, general administration and must be in possession of a valid drivers’ license. The candidate must also have strong supervisory skills as well as good communication skills.

 

Main Duties:

  • Responsible for the implementation of the Asset Maintenance Plan
  • Ensure that Procurement and Stock Control procedures are adhered to
  • Participate in stock taking exercises
  • Plan for activities pertaining to this office in line with the Directorate plan
  • Coordinate the compilation of monthly, quarterly and annual activity reports for all subsections under him/her
  • Control, Monitor and update the main asset register for Head office and the Regional Offices
  • Implement the Treasury Instructions, Stock Control Manual in the Ministry
  • Secretary to the Ministerial Tender Committee and advise on Tender policies and regulations
  • Compile Annual Tender exemption prior to the expiry date
  • Distribute copies of all approved contracts and tenders to various Directorates
  • Monitor, control and advice on Cleaning matters of the Ministry and its outside offices
  • Conduct regular in-house inspections
  • Supervision of all sub-sections under him/her.
  • Ensure that stock registers are updated at all times
  • Responsible for Performance Agreements and Reviews thereof of staff under this section
  • Daily update of the Ministry Tender Management System
  • Supervise Security company and NamPol officers on duty
  • On time renewal of security and garden services tenders.
