DIVISION: GEOCHEMISTRY & LABORATORY

DEPUTY DIRECTOR GRADE 4A
1 Post: Windhoek
Salary Scale: N$178 461 x 6 255 – N$203 481
Benefits: Housing Allowance: N$48 000 p.a.
Motor (vehicle) Allowance – N$71 064 p.a.

Minimum Requirements: An appropriate 4-year B.Sc degree or B.Sc (Hons) degree in Geochemistry / Geology plus 9 years appropriate experience in the laboratory environment.

Additional Requirements: The candidate should have theoretical and practical knowledge in all fields of analytical geochemistry. The successful applicant should be computer literate and have managerial skills to supervise and train junior staff. Ability to conduct administrative duties is essential. The post requires field work in remote areas, as well as duties overseas, and applicants must be in possession of a valid driver’s license, and be willing to travel.

Minimum Requirements: An appropriate 4-year B.Sc degree or B.Sc (Hons) degree in Geophysics plus 9 years appropriate experience in airborne and ground geophysics.

Additional Requirements: The candidate should have theoretical and practical knowledge in all fields of geophysics. The successful applicant should be computer literate and have management skills to supervise and train junior staff. Ability to conduct administrative duties and good communication skills to talk to investors are essential. The post requires field work in remote areas, as well as duties overseas, and applicants must be in possession of a valid driver’s license, and be willing to travel.
