Minister Kandjoze says goodbye to MME

Earlier today, former Minister of Mines and Energy, Hon. Obeth Mbui Kandjoze bid farewell to the Ministry.  During the announcement, the Hon. Minister expressed gratitude to the management of the Ministry and the entire MME staff, for the good cooperation over the years.  Hon. Kandjoze further encouraged the Ministry to keep the spirit of hard work.  The Minister also announced that he has not left Government and that he will be taking up a new role as the Minister for Economic Planning and Director General of the National Planning Commission.

In the same light, the MME employees were also introduced to Hon. Tom Alweendo who is the new Minister of the Ministry of Mines and Energy.  Hon. Alweendo, during his address informed the staff that he has welcomed the new position and he is looking forward to a good working relationship at the Ministry.  At the same event, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Simeon Negumbo thanked Hon.  Obeth Kandjoze for his tremendous leadership, mentoring, and for being a key strategists on policy matters and implementation.  He further welcomed Hon. Tom Alweendo and declared that his office and the entire MME staff are geared to deliver hard work in order to fulfil the mandate of the Ministry and the Government at large.
