Mines and Energy at Africa Oil Week

The Ministry of Mines and Energy, is attending the 22 Africa Oil Week exhibition for African Upstream companies at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, South Africa.  The event started on 26 and will continue till 30 October 2015.  The Ministry of Mines and Energy has send a delegation of three specialists to attend the event.  Amongst the delegation, is the Acting Director of Petroleum Affairs, Mr. Carlo McLeod, Chief Inspector of Petroleum Affairs, Mr. Tupa Iyambo, and Senior Petroleum Geoscientist, Ms. Aune Amutenya. 
 

The event is a platform where oil and gas producing companies showcase their potential, and it is also the stage for building networks.  The MME specialized team headed by McLeod, will be promoting Namibia`s oil and gas potential.  Acting Director for Petroleum Affairs, Mr. Carlo McLeod said that the Africa Oil Week is the premier international oil and gas event for Sub-Saharan and Maghreb-North Africa.  “This is a world class event which is held every year, and it is the perfect opportunity for Namibia to showcase the countries oil and gas potential and build networks for potential investors in upstream” said McLeod.  The Ministry of Mines and Energy is joined by NAMCOR, and coordinators of the Kudu Gas project.  
 

This year, the 22nd Africa Upstream Conference and exhibition include a safari park exhibition including 150 exhibitions, plenary sessions with 100 speakers, the inaugural Africa oil and energy finance forum, a series of networking opportunities, Government showcases and roadshows, a local content and an exploration technologies forum as well as the high profile 71st PetroAfricanus Dinner in Africa.
