Electricity division is mainly focusing on the rural electrification of public institutions as well as households in regions where there are no un-electrified public institutions.

It is in this context that the Rural Electricity Distribution Master Plan for Namibia was established. Acknowledging the vast distances and low population densities in Namibia the Master Plan considers both grid and off-grid (Solar Systems) electrification options and includes all 13 regions of Namibia, mainly prioritizing economically active centers such as schools, clinics, businesses and other government institutions
