Mission Statement

To protect the Diamond Industry of Namibia from smuggling and other illicit activities and to promote the diversification and integration of the industry into the rest of the economy in order to maximise its contribution to the socio-economic development of Namibia.

Main Objectives:

Ensuring the effective and effecient control of handling and transportation of rough diamonds in Namibia.

To ensure effective and effecient monitoring of diamond prospecting, mining and downstream activies.

To ensure that the evaluation and sale of Namibian diamonds meet international acceptable standards..

To promote Namibia as an investors friendly destination for diamonds industry investors .

To preserve the image of Namibia diamonds.

To promote the growth and stability of the Namibian down-stream diamond industry.

To promote and facilitate sound working relations within the diamond industry.
